CEO/Founder at THE UBELE INITIATIVE
A Catalyst for Racial Equity and Community Empowerment
Yvonne Field OBE is a visionary leader and changemaker, dedicated to tackling structural inequalities and empowering Black and racially minoritised communities. As the founder of The Ubele Initiative, she has mobilised resources, fostered leadership, and created sustainable community spaces through intergenerational empowerment, enterprise, and social action. Under her leadership, Ubele has supported over 6,000 people and distributed £13.5 million in grant funding to address the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on minoritised communities.
Through initiatives like The Phoenix Way, a ground-breaking grant-making partnership, and Elevate, a leadership programme for Black and racially minoritised women, Yvonne has reshaped funding structures and expanded opportunities. With strategic partnerships spanning 28 countries, her work ensures that underrepresented communities have access to the resources and influence they need to thrive. Her commitment to equity, leadership, and systemic change continues to transform lives across the UK and beyond.
