CEO of MYTIME Young Carers
Transforming Support for Young Carers
Krista Cartlidge is a tireless advocate for young carers, ensuring that these hidden heroes receive the recognition, support, and opportunities they deserve. As CEO of MYTIME Young Carers since 2019, she has transformed the way schools and communities identify and assist young carers, helping them balance education with their responsibilities at home. Under her leadership, MYTIME has expanded from supporting 75 young carers a year to over 3,000, offering vital training for teachers, leadership programmes, and wellbeing initiatives that have reshaped national conversations about young carer support.
Through initiatives like the Level Up Programme, which has trained over 5,000 teachers and improved identification rates in schools, and the Making Memories Programme, which provides much-needed respite, Krista has helped young carers feel seen, valued, and empowered. Her impact extends beyond childhood—MYTIME’s Employability Programme is now helping young adult carers transition into higher education and employment. With her relentless determination and strategic vision, Krista is leveling the playing field for young carers across the UK, ensuring they have the support, friendships, and future opportunities they deserve.
