Founder of Enhance the UK and the Undressing Disability campaign

A disability rights campaigner challenging stigma and expanding inclusion.

Jennie Williams is the founder of Enhance the UK, a disability led charity working to break down the social and cultural barriers faced by disabled people. She is also the creator of the Undressing Disability campaign, which encourages open and honest conversations about disability, relationships and sexuality.

Jennie’s work is shaped by her own lived experience. As someone living with chronic pain, hearing loss and neurodivergence, she understands firsthand the ways disabled people are often excluded, not only in terms of physical access but also from conversations about intimacy, identity and connection. Through Enhance the UK she has created practical initiatives that place disabled voices at the centre. One of these is Love Lounge, a free and confidential support network where disabled people can seek advice from a panel of experts who are themselves disabled. The service provides guidance on relationships, sex, confidence and wellbeing, addressing issues that are often overlooked but deeply important.

Recognising that loneliness was one of the most common concerns raised by participants, Jennie also developed Love Lounge events across the UK. These safe and inclusive gatherings, both online and in person, bring people together through workshops, panel discussions and social events.

Jennie has also worked with industry partners to develop accessible products designed by and for disabled people, including the Quest range, the world’s first fully accessible sex toy collection. Alongside this, Enhance the UK delivers disability awareness training to organisations, helping to drive lasting cultural change.

Through her campaigning, innovation and leadership, Jennie is helping reshape how society understands disability, ensuring that inclusion extends to every aspect of life.
